Happy Children's day 🎉!

On Saturday, August 17th, the Kallpachay team visited the “Mi Nuevo Hogar” shelter to deliver various gifts and storybooks so the children could enjoy them on such a special day full of Joy and laughter. This day was even more special because we had the honor of sharing it with the shelter’s director, Mrs. Mónica Pinares, and the founder of our project, Paloma Rodríguez. Together, we brought smiles and moments of happiness to these little warriors, reminding them of how valuable they are.

Thanks to everyone’s support, we were able to deliver gifts filled with love and hope, lighting up their hearts and reaffirming our commitment to always stand by their side. 🌟

Let’s keep working together for a better world, where every child has the opportunity to be happy and live life to the fullest!

We met the mothers, children and staff of this place and had a great time with them. Everyone works very hard every day to be able to give the best to these children, so we want to continue helping them with this mission. We have a project for the end of the year that we will announce very soon, stay tuned!

About the activity with the Frieda Heller shelter

This week we had a nice activity with the children and teenagers from the Frieda Heller Shelter. Volunteers helped us organize an afternoon of storytelling, magic tricks, and science experiments for the children. We had a great time in the company of the children, full of laughter, smiles and learning. We are organizing the next activity, it will be very soon!

My New Home Hostel

We partner with the hostel "My New Home"! We will be sending you both of our books very soon.

This shelter welcomes cancer patients who come from the province. They and their parents do not bring a lot of clothes for winter, so we will also help them by collecting clothes  Warm jacket, blankets, sweaters, hats, etc., in good condition and above all clean. Children of the Magic House

The children of the “Casa Magia” shelter have already received their books! 📖 Children staying at "Casa Magia" come from all the Peruvian provinces to Lima to receive cancer treatment. We appreciate the opportunity to help these children and hope that very soon we will be able to send them more books with new stories.

"Frieda Heller" shelter

The first 50 books of "Paquita la alpaquita" are on their way to the Albergue Frieda Heller! This place is responsible for the accommodation, food and transport of patients receiving treatment at the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN). We are very happy to work with this hostel and to be able to help and cheer the children!

Delivery of books to two shelters

We have already delivered some books to the Frieda Heller Shelter and the Magic House, which host children with cancer. Very soon, the children will receive the stories after proper disinfection. In the shelters we were able to meet the administrative staff, and the doctors and nurses who take care of the patients. In addition, we thank them for the hard work they do during this pandemic.

Kallpachay thanks the INEN medical staff

The medical staff of the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN) has helped us a lot with the delivery of the books. We appreciate and thank the efforts of the doctors, nurses and all the staff of INEN, who not only take care of children in these difficult times but also do everything in their power so that children have the best possible time during their treatment.

Casa Magia: "Cancer is cured 50% with medicines and 50% with love"

Last week we sent 50 more books to the “Casa Magia” shelter 🤩. This place takes care of lodging, food, medicines, psychological support, recreation and workshops for low-income children who have cancer and need to be cared for at the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases (INEN). We are so excited to be working hand in hand with "Casa Magia" to help and motivate children through their treatment!

Merry Christmas to all!

Yesterday the Kallpachay team had the opportunity  to visit the children of the Mi Nuevo Mundo shelter to celebrate Christmas before they return to their homes in the province. We shared a nice afternoon building Legos, assembling and decorating the Christmas tree and playing.

We deliver our books to the Mi Nuevo Hogar shelter!

Yesterday we delivered copies of "Paquita la alpaquita" and "Bongo el otorongo" to the shelter "Mi Nuevo Hogar". We were able to meet the  already shelter some of the children who stay in this place during their chemotherapy treatment. The book of "Bongo el otorongo" is already printed

Thanks to your collaboration, we were able to print the first copies of the book '"Bongo el otorongo" so that children learn the importance of protecting themselves from COVID-19. Very soon we will deliver them to hospitalized children staying in different hostels in Lima. Also, in a few weeks, we will do a very fun activity with them!

Hello! We are Paloma Rodríguez, a student at the Villa Caritas School, and Silvana Quenaya, a former student at the Juan XXIII Peruvian Chinese School, founders of the Kallpachay project.
